How can I make a booking?

You can make a booking with any of the artists here by simply phoning, emailing or coming down to the studio directly. Please keep in mind that we do get very busy here at Garage Ink and cannot always get back to you as promptly as we would like. Look under the "Contact" tab for details.

Do I need to make a booking to get a tattoo?

Walk-ins are always welcome at the studio but on most occasions our artists are fully booked for the day. If you want to get a tattoo on the day, your best option would be to call that morning to see if any of the artists have a spare appointment available. Alternatively, you can go on the cancellation list for

your chosen artist, so if they get a cancellation before your scheduled appointment we may be able to get you in sooner.

Do I need to make a booking to get a piercing?

Castelle is currently on call for all piercings on Wednesday and Fridays but is at the studio every Saturday so bookings are preferred but on most occassions, she is no more than 10 minutes away if you want it done on the spot.

How much will my tattoo cost?

The artists here at the studio will either give you a direct quote or charge you at their day rate for extensive designs (sleeves, back pieces etc). As the size, detail and positioning of each tattoo is different it is difficult to estimate prices over the phone, therefore the easiest way for you to obtain an accurate quote is to talk with the artist directly. The shop minimum at Garage Ink is $150. All artists excluding Teneile charge $150 per hour & $1000 for a full day. Teneile's minimum charge is her day rate price of $1500.

What forms of payment do you accept at Garage Ink?

We only accept cash payment. No eftpos/credit card facilities are available as of yet. (But there are ATM facilities nearby).

Do you sell gift cards at Garage Ink?

Yes! The gift card you purchase can be of any amount that you wish and can be used toward any service with any artist in the studio. Be sure to keep the receipt attached to your gift card as this validates the gift card and cannot be used without it.

Do you sell merchandise at Garage Ink?

Yes! We have a range of Garage Ink t-shirts and singlets designed by Teneile Napoli as well as stubbie coolers, and original Teneile Napoli prints. We also stock Brazen Wear clothing, and these can all be purchased at the studio. Soon you will be able to purchase our merchandise online as well.

Aftercare

At Garage Ink we have one brand of tattoo aftercare that we recommend:

Ink Care Antibacterial after Tattoo Soothing Balm (with goji berry, aloe vera, clove & rosemary)is available for purchase from the studio.

Once your tattoo is complete your artist will apply Ink Care, dress it in cling wrap & bind it with Micropore tape. Leave this dressing on until your next shower then follow these simple steps:

1. Remove the dressing and throw it away

2. Wash the area gently with liquid soap and rinse it well (leaving no soap residue)

3. Gently pat the area dry (do NOT rub) and leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes

4. Apply a liberal amount of your aftercare cream to the tattoo, firmly cover it with cling wrap and secure with Micropore tape.

Repeat this process after every shower for the first 3 nights and 2 days, after this time you won't need the wrap but you will need to continue to apply the aftercare cream for 2 weeks, or until healed.

Do NOT scratch or pick at your tattoo!!

During the healing period, keep out of chlorine and salt water, it is a bleaching chemical (swimming), also keep out of the sun as fresh skin can burn easier and this will damage your tattoo.

To prolong the life of your new tattoo, always wear sunscreen as the sun also causes tattoos to fade.
